Our host island of Amorgos offers pure and calming energies away from mass tourism, and swimming in its many beaches along the Aegean Sea is a healing experience every time.
The villages of the island are traditional, offering a cultural experience worth traveling for. With narrow alleyways and whitewashed houses dressed in pink bougainvillea, each village offers great tavernas with Greek traditional food and heart warming hospitality.
And if you are seeking some grounding and quiet time, the mountains of the island welcome visitors to an epic hiking experience.
With no dangerous wildlife (although you might see some friendly goats, donkeys and lizards), the hiking trails here welcome outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy some serene moments and become one with Mother Nature.

A Day in the Life of Your Greek Odyssey….
We will gather in the Yoga shala twice a day to for a Visionary Yoga Session and guided meditation session with Mariko – once in the morning before breakfast, and again for a Slow Flow or a Restorative Session in the early evening before dinner.
On excursion days, we may only have one yoga session in the morning so we can have a full day to dedicate to our adventure.
It will truly be a rejuvenating experience of expansion, practicing with a sweeping view of the Aegean Sea!
On non-excursion days, we’ll have a Visionary Workshop where you will get support in:
- Clarify your Vision and Direction for your life
- Reverse-engineering your Vision into a practical, concrete plan
- Clearing inner obstacles to realizing your Vision
- Getting a deeper, working understanding of the Principles of building your dream.
In most evenings, there will be guided sunset meditations to support everyone in becoming a vibrational match to their Vision.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Deposit is strictly non-refundable, but fully transferable. Should you need to transfer your place, you will be required to find your replacement participant and arrange the transfer of your portion of payment.
You are responsible to cover costs if your travels are cancelled due to personal illness, injury, or any unforeseeable event.
Trip cancellation insurance is always strongly recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travel Guard Insurance online and choose from several policy options
The Retreat Venue (the “Supplier”) and / or Mariko Hirakawa shall not be liable for any losses incurred associated with your travel due to any circumstances outside of our immediate control.
We strongly advise you to check with your physician (s) concerning your personal health and safety and well as your fitness for active yoga daily yoga practices.

A Junior Suite is their latest and most luxurious edition of rooms. It has a spacious bedroom & sitting area which can be transformed to two separate rooms and host up to four adults – two in the bedroom, and two in the bunk beds.
Both rooms can function independently as a sound proof dimmed glazed door separates the area in two. Each partition has its own bathroom.

How to Get to Amorgos Island, Greece
Amorgos does not have an airport but is easily reached with daily ferries.
There are two ways to get to Amorgos via ferries:
1) Take a ferry from Athens (5.5 hours via speed vessel)
2) Take a ferry from Santorini (1.5 hours via speed vessel)
Athens International Airport (ATH) is the most convenient to arrive from New York, but you could also fly into Santorini’s international airport.
To allow for time to travel via ferry, please plan to arrive in Greece at least a day earlier by June 4th in order to catch the ferry 7 am on June 5th.
Personally, I would give myself a few days to enjoy either Athens or Santorini before catching the ferry!
If you arrive from another island, check to see ferry schedule. Amorgos can be reached via ferry from islands such as Paros, Naxos, Milos, and Mykonos.
Same timing is needed upon your departure, so flight homeward bound should be no earlier than June 12, 2023.
The ferries dock at the two ports in Amorgos Island: Katapola and Aegiali. The latter is the closest to the Retreat Venue.
Amorgos ports can be reached with high speed vessels departing from Athens via Piraeus or Rafina ports.
Ferry companies such as Seajet, Superjet and Hellenic Seaways deliver services to Amorgos. We recommend comparing ferries on the Seajets website.
Again, be sure to book a flight that allows you time to catch the ferry to Amorgos, and same thing on the way back.
Ferry schedules are normally updated around late January 2023. Catching a ferry from another island is generally much faster than those from Athens, simply because Athens is a much further distance. But Athens may well be more convenient for you with your itinerary.
Within Athens, there are multiple options for traveling from Athens Airport to Pireaus Port – Metro, Taxi (45-60 mins drive away), or Express Bus (X96 – subject to change), or private booked transfer.
Meet Your Host!
Mariko Hirakawa, B.A.M.S. is the founder of Visionary Yoga, a company dedicated to fostering Visionary leadership through time-tested principles and cutting-edge science. She’s also the best-selling author of the book The Yoga of Personal Development: Enlightened Lessons on Leadership, Peak Performance, and Living A Life of No Regrets available on Amazon.com.
Over the past 30 years, Mariko has been studying transformational principles and the “invisible” side of Yoga as well as its physical discipline with sustained intensity and passion.
In 2003, the experience of working with numerous terminally ill patients caused her to apply for and win a 5 1/2 year fellowship grant to study Ayurveda, the ancient Indian healing science in one of the top Universities in India on the subject.
